Maharashtra is bracing for unrest and protests in several parts following Monday's deadly violence that hit a Dalit celebration and which left a 28-year-old man dead.
The violence, which took place during the 200th anniversary celebrations of the of the Koregaon-Bhima battle, saw Mumbai, Pune and Aurangabad get paralysed as Dalit groups took to the streets to protest Monday's death.
Buses were vandalised, stones were pelted and shops were shut as the Bhima Koregaon violence took a slightly political turn with politicians of all colour commenting on Monday's riots or its aftermath.
Dalit groups, including activist and grandson of icon BR Ambedkar, Prakash, called for a state-wide bandh today. Will Maharashtra see a repeat of what was seen in Mumbai and Pune yesterday?

8:30 AM: The school bus owners association has already said it will not operate fleets today in view of the bandh called in the state. Schools, however, will remain open, the Maharahstra government previously said.
