President to make special statement on Bond Commission report 
President Maithripala Sirisena is scheduled to make a special statement to the media today (Jan. 03) regarding the report of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to inquire into the questionable bond issue and the recommendations of the report.
The President announced this in a Twitter message recently.
The Commission’s Chairman Supreme Court Judge K. T. Chitrasiri had handed over the Commission report to the President on 30th of December.
The report running into 1400 pages and with about 100 attachments comprising evidence of 70 witnesses as well as the recommendations about actions that should be taken regarding the questionable bonds incident.
