Breathe easy, breathe life!

A breath of Fresh Air! There is nothing like the feeling of cold brisk air on your skin on a wintery morning. This is something almost all of us would want to enjoy, right! We all know and love that feeling of taking a deep breath and feeling rejuvenated. We would plan morning walks so that we get our daily dose of fresh air and morning sun. After all, doctors and medical experts have over the years iterated that breathing fresh air helps in cleansing of lungs, boosts your immune system and all in all helps you remain calm.

However, lately breathing fresh air has turned into a rather dangerous affair. We don’t need to remind you about the rather smoggy incident of NCR regions before the onset of the festive season. The smog in Delhi was so severe that the capital had turned into a gas chamber. Stepping out without a mask or covering your face is not an option anyone would have wanted to exercise.

So we did the next best thing. Stayed at home. Our homes become our haven at times like these when we think that the air we breathe at home is safer than what we would be breathing outside. Right?

Well, did you ever think that maybe the air indoors might also cause your harm? You may think that this is not possible, but we live amongst bacteria. Chemicals, dust mites, pollen, mould, pet dander etc is a part of your home. These are things that you do not see but you know exist within your periphery.

Indoor pollutants cause a lot of health issues just like outdoor pollutants. It all generally starts slow; coughing, sneezing, wheezing and eventually leading to asthma and other health issues.

How do you solve a problem you cannot always see? While you can clean, mop, wipe and wash your floor and furniture, the need of the hour to have a continuous cycle of freshness in your home.

Technology has the answer. Air purifiers like Aeroguard help in purifying the air in your home and helps keep dust, mould and dander away. It also helps in reducing humidity within the house and makes it easier for you to breathe. Purifiers with mechanical filter known as high-efficiency particulate air (HEPA) filter help in capturing most of the air pollutants in your home.

If you are a pet owner, air purifiers also help in eliminating odour emitted by the litter box, by the pet and also helps in purifying the air from dander and small fur particles which may cause an allergic reaction.

Something so simple like breathing should not be difficult, especially in your abode. A small addition can change your life and help you live easier. While you may not be able to control what goes on outside, you can control what you breathe in your home.

Aeroguard and CNN-News18 have started an initiative, called Breathe Life! It’s time to make your home the safe haven that it is for you and take the pledge to curb indoor pollution!
