Bio-diversity is the beauty of this world. Conservation of birds and wild life is the duty of every human being as our existence is mutually dependant on one another’.
This was said by SBI Chief General Manager KT Ajit in a programme organised to distribute nest-boxes to its home loan customers for conservation of sparrows. SBI has associated itself with ‘Bhopal Birds Sanstha’, an NGO that works for conservation of sparrows by way of making people ‘GoraiyaMitra’ (Sparrow Friends).
These nest-boxes prepared with the financial assistance of SBI, are very appropriate for making sparrow nests. SBI has planned to distribute these nest-boxes to its home loan customers with a request to keep the box at an appropriate place in the house so as to enable the sparrow to make its nest in it. Ajit said that bank’s this initiative will provide an opportunity to the people to contribute to the noble cause of environment conservation.
Also present on the occasion were SBI General Manager Ashwini Shukla, DGM & CDO Geeta Pillai, DGM NK Sharma, Director of Bhopal Birds Sanstha Dr Khalique and other bank officials.
