Ronaldo wants Man Utd or Chelsea move

18:00: Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Real Madrid for Manchester United or Chelsea.

That’s according to Spanish website Diario Gol, who say the 32-year-old is desperate to return to England.

United and Chelsea are supposedly tracking him, as well as PSG.

But Ronaldo would snub the Ligue 1 giants in order to return to England, where he spent six years between 2003 and 2009.

Benitez still keen on Kenedy

17:30: Newcastle are ready to launch a January swoop for versatile Chelsea star Kenedy, reports claim.

Newcastle pursued the Brazilian talent, 21, last summer but couldn’t reach an agreement with the Premier League champions.

Now, as Rafa Benitez’s side look for reinforcements to steer them away from the relegation zone, Kenedy is back on their radar.

It’s believed the Toon are trying to secure a six-month loan deal but Antonio Conte’s recent claims that it would be impossible” for Chelsea to sell or loan any of their first-team squad could scupper the deal.

Honest Costa

17:00: Diego Costa insists he still holds Chelsea in high-regard despite being marginalised then sold by them.

"I did not learn English, which was a pity," he told reporters at his Atletico Madrid presentation.

"I was very well, the people, the fans, the teammates have helped me a lot. They made my life easier.

"Chelsea is a great club. I have a special affection for them and there are only good memories."

Costa scored 59 goals in 120 appearances for Chelsea, helping them win three trophies.

Arsenal vs Chelsea prediction

16:00: Former Arsenal star Paul Merson reckons his old side will lose 3-1 to Chelsea tomorrow night.

"This is a good game," he told Sky Sports. 

"I have seen Arsenal a lot this season and they do give you chances. 

"Going forward Chelsea are better than some of the teams Arsenal have played recently and I think they will pick them off as the game goes on."

Zaha update

15:00: Wilfried Zaha has delivered a blow to Antonio Conte, who’s reportedly interested in signing the winger.

Asked if he will be staying with Crystal Palace beyond January, he said: "Yep, I am."

Chelsea are not the only Premier League big boys linked with a move for the Ivory Coast international.

Arsenal and Manchester City are thought to be considering bids for him too.

14:00: Sky Sports pundit Phil Thompson says Chelsea need to splash the cash in the January transfer window.

"They're a fine team but I think if you scratch beneath that main 11 there's not a lot there to come through," he said. 

"Antonio Conte needs strengthening in all areas of his team, with David Luiz out of favour."

Chelsea missed out to Liverpool for Virgil van Dijk but a host of other stars have been linked with Blues moves.

Arsenal vs Chelsea boost

13:00: Chelsea will face an injury-ravaged Arsenal side tomorrow night, Arsene Wenger has revealed.

"At the moment out injury list is quite long because we lost Kolasinac, we lost Koscielny and we had already Monreal, Giroud, Ramsey and Ozil out," he said.

"The two who have a little chance [for Chelsea] are Ozil.

"He might have a test this morning but he hasn’t been out at all since Crystal Palace.

"And Koscielny, but yesterday the medical department were pessimistic on Koscielny."

Wenger in Luiz revelation

12:00: Arsene Wenger has revealed he is not interested in signing Chelsea defender David Luiz.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Arsenal since falling out of favour.

And the January transfer window would have provided the perfect chance for him to jump ship.

Wenger has now given his verdict on claims that he wants Luiz though.

"I don’t want to speak about any names, but these reports are wrong," he said.

Major Hazard boost

11:00: Chelsea's chances of holding on to star man Eden Hazard appear to have risen substantially.

The winger has been talked up as the next Galactico target for La Liga giants Real Madrid.

And speculation has swirled that a whopping £120m deal could be in the works.

El Confidencial have handed Chelsea a major boost by suggesting Real want Neymar more though.

That situation means Hazard will only be targeted if Real miss out on Neymar.

Vidal to Chelsea ON?

10:00: Antonio Conte has reportedly reached out to Arturo Vidal himself in a bid to tempt the Chilean into joining Chelsea.

Conte signed the Bayern Munich midfielder when he was in charge of Juventus and they won five trophies together in Turin.

And Sport Bild claim he's keen on a reunion with Vidal as he looks to freshen up his title-winning Stamford Bridge squad.

Conte is said to have sounded Vidal out about a potential switch with a suggestion a deal could be on for £31m.

Courtois update

09:00: Chelsea stopper Thibaut Courtois is firmly in Real Madrid's sights after they dropped their interest in David De Gea, according to reports.

The La Liga giants have been on the look out for a replacement for current No 1 Keylor Navas for some time.

And Manchester United star De Gea has long been touted as the man to become the first Galactico goalkeeper.

Spanish outlet El Confidencial say Real have cooled their interest in De Gea and are now focussed on signing Courtois though.

Costa wants reunion

08:00: Diego Costa wants a reunion with former Chelsea team-mate Cesar Azpilicueta at Atletico Madrid.

That's according to Don Balon, who claim Los Rojiblancos boss Diego Simeone is keen on adding the defender to his squad.

Costa and Azpilicueta spent three years together at Chelsea before the former agreed a return to his adopted homeland with Atletico.

Now Costa is keen to play alongside his international team-mate at club level again after completing his move to the Wanda Metropolitano.

Atletico are thought to be confident of getting a deal over the line for £20m but Chelsea are likely to be reluctant to sell.
