LOWER FREDERICK >> Authorities are looking for suspects after spray painted messages were discovered at Meng Sanctuary.

According to officials at the Valley Forge Audubon Society, vandalism has been reported to police after it was discovered that unknown individuals spray painted large boulders located along one of the trails in Meng Sanctuary.

Meng Sanctuary is part of The Stone Hill Greenway. The Eva R. Meng Wildlife Preserve and Bird Sanctuary is a 100 acre forested property in Lower Frederick Township featuring over two miles of trails.

The Valley Forge Audubon Society said the incident occurred on or before Christmas Day and was discovered by a passing hiker. The spray painted messages were found on the south side of the popular yellow trail, which runs from Ryanford Road in Limerick Township to Delphi Road in Lower Frederick Township.

Officials at the Valley Forge Audubon Society are asking that anyone with information on the incident or the suspects, contact Lower Frederick Police at 610-489-9332.
