PEORIA — Some trash pick-up in Peoria, already delayed a day because of the holiday, may be further delayed.

Peoria Disposal Company is having difficulty keeping some of its trucks running because of cold weather, according to a news release from the city of Peoria.

Those issues may delay some trash pick-up until the start of the day Wednesday before other trash pick-up occurring that day.

Such delays may occur throughout the remainder of the week, the company warns, meaning some collections could occur two days after their normal, non-holiday-week trash day.

Residents are asked to leave trash cans out until PDC trucks service their routes.
