The Cougars hit the road in the OVC with unhappy results, losing 78-58 at Austin Peay and 87-63 at Murray State. Forward Brandon Jackson, a 6-7 sophomore from East St. Louis and Cardinal Ritter, was a bright spot in defeat. He scored 22 points and pulled 10 rebounds in those two losses, matching his point total from his previous nine games combined. Freshman guard Justin Benton stood out at Austin Peay with 14 points and six rebounds.
