Authorities investigating a reported shooting in Morris Township two days after Christmas have offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of those involved.
Morris Township Police Chief Mark DiCarlo said in a news release witnesses reported hearing gunfire shortly before midnight on Dec. 27 on Jersey Avenue.
It's not currently known if anyone was injured, as there were no reported victims, but evidence was recovered from the scene, DiCarlo said.
The motive of the shooting remains unknown, but authorities believe this was an isolated incident and that there's no danger to the public.
DiCarlo said police believe three males were involved in the shooting and have released surveillance video showing the trio. The police chief also said a Ford Crown Victoria was seen leaving the scene of the crime.
Anyone with any type of information can contact the Morris Township Police at 973-539-0777 or Det. David Crowley directly at 973-326-7486, or call Morris County CrimeStoppers at 973-COP-CALL or 1-800-SHERIFF.
"No one will ask your name," according to a statement on CrimeStoppers. "If the information you provide leads to the arrest or indictment of the responsible individual(s), you will receive up to a $1,000 cash reward."
