LEEDS UNITED head coach Thomas Christiansen has joked that Samuel Saiz would command the same price tag as Lionel Messi.

Playmaker Saiz, 26, joined Leeds from Spanish outfit Huesca during the last transfer window for a fee in the region of £3million.
He has, arguably, been the Championship club’s star man this term, providing five assists and five goals in 21 league games.
When asked if Saiz would be available this month, Christiansen said: ”He's not on sale.
“If he's on sale, I believe that he must be as expensive as Messi.”

Christiansen has limited say on the transfer dealings at Elland Road with director of football Victor Orta wielding the power.
When asked if he’s had any guarantees that his star men will not be sold, Christiansen replied: “There’s no order. You never know in football what will happen.
“I don’t know what will happen next week. I don’t know what will happen with the players.”

Christiansen is due to hold talks with Leeds’ board this week to finalise their transfer plans.
He said: ”First we are going to speak about that with the board and then after we will take decisions.”
A £500,000 deal has already been agreed for Japan international midfielder Yosuke Ideguchi.
