Kharagpur ( West Bengal): IIT Kharagpur is offering a twenty hours free online course in Mechanism and Robot Kinematics. The course can be taken in sessions for a duration of 8 weeks.

"Both UG and PG students are eligible to take up this free course if they belong to the relevant departments. There is also an optional exam that helps students to get thorough in the lessons", Anirvan DasGupta, a faculty in Mechanical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur who will be the course instructor, said in a statment.
According to the statement, the course is aimed at helping students and researchers in their basic understanding and use of kinematic analysis.
"This course will also pave way for more advanced courses on the mechanism and robot dynamics and design", the statement said.
"The course will begin on Feb 05, 2018. When content is released on the portal, you will get an email alerting you. Please watch the lectures, follow the course regularly and submit all assessments and assignments before the due date. Your regular participation is vital for learning", the statement said.
A candidate needs to write exam after completion of the course. The exam will be held on Saturday April 28 and Sunday April 29. The timing of the exams will be morning session 09:00 am to 12:00 noon and afternoon session: 02:00 pm to 05:00 pm.
The course will be conducted by National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) in association with NASSCOM.
