“Shoto Kontthe Ronangone Rabindranath-er Gaan” at BNM

Bangladesh National Museum and Rabindra Academy jointly organised a unique musical soiree titled “Shoto Kontthe Ronangone Rabindranath-er Gaan” at the Bangladesh National Museum (BNM) on Sunday.

The soiree featured songs from Rabindranath Tagore's 'Swadesh' parjaya – patriotic, spirited and humanitarian songs that have inspired people at various movements for justice, humane spirit and even at battlefields.

Finance Minister AMA Muhith, Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu, Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor and State Minister for Post and Telecommunications Tarana Halim were present at the event. BNM keeper Dr. Shihab Shahriar, Rabindra Academy general secretary Bulbul Mahalanabish and eminent cultural personality Kamal Lohani spoke at the event.

A hundred artistes of Rabindra Academy and Shadhin Bangla Betar Kendra sang together at the event, along with recitation of poetry. Elocutionist Dr. Rupa Chakrabarty anchored the programme.
