PUBG PS4 release date update - Big Battlegrounds boost for Sony PlayStation fans
PUBG is out now on Xbox One and PC, but fans on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch have been given a big boost about a possible release date for their consoles.

PS4 fans hoping PUBG will be heading to their console after the recent Xbox One release date have been given a promising update.
PUBG arrived on Xbox One last month, and Microsoft have reportedly been in talks to extend the period of console exclusivity with developer Bluehole.
It means that right now the PC and the Xbox One is the only place to play Battlegrounds - but that could all change very soon.
Chang Han Kim, the CEO of PUBG developer PUBG Corp, gave a boost to PS4 and Nintendo Switch fans hoping for a Battlegrounds release.
He said that he hopes PUBG will one day be available on “every platform”.
Speaking to InvenGlobal, he said: “As it’s going to be an exclusive title on Xbox One for some time, we’d like to focus on completing the Xbox One PUBG for now.
“If we have the opportunity, the final goal would be to launch the title on every platform.”
Kim also discussed whether it was possible to release the early access version of PUBG on PS4.
And his response was telling, explaining how Microsoft were more flexible about what build could be released on their consoles.
Kim said: “Early Access on Steam and Game Preview on Xbox One are like pre-release, so they don’t have a restriction on quality.
“However, PS is very strict about this. There were cases where a game took six months more to launch even when it was already completed.
“We are still in the stage of learning the console development environment and console gamers’ taste.
“We need to think about other platforms after evaluating and completing the Xbox One version first.”
PUBG fans on PC recently got the launch of 1.0 version as the battle royale game came out of early access.
The Xbox One version remains unfinished in the Game Preview programme, but has been a huge hit - selling one million copies in its first 48 hours.
The news comes after it was revealed that PUBG was getting its own smartphone version.
The mobile version of PUBG is planned for release in mainland China, but there is no word if it will get a worldwide launch.
Chinese internet giant Tencent is behind the two PUBG mobile games, with its Timi Studio developing one that features naval battles.
The other smartphone game, made by Lightspeed & Quantum Studio, is looking closer to the standard PC version.
