WOODSTOCK - A Woodstock man was arrested Thursday for violating a restraining order 10 minutes after it was issued, state police said.
According to a statement, Christopher Cournoyer, 46, was issued a restraining order on Thursday. On the same day, state police from Troop D were dispatched to an undisclosed location in Woodstock for a report of a restraining order violation. Police said they located Cournoyer and determined he was in violation of the order, which police said had been granted 10 minutes prior.
He was arrested for violating a protective order and was held on $5,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court on Feb. 13.
