Those who own the LG G6 will probably get to see their device running on latest Android 8.0 by next month. This brings the device back in competition with the other flagship phones.

LG G6 at the time of its launch was the first smartphone to boast a taller 18:9 aspect ratio screen. LG G6 has a 5.7 inch LCD capacitive display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2880 ppi. This makes the movie and video watching more fun as the display is sharp and clear. The smartphone also sports a capable dual-lens camera setup. LG G6 features a 13MP+13MP Dual Camera with 2160@30fps, 1080p@30fps, HDR and other features. The front selfie camera is 5MP which is ample for selfies.

LG G6 runs on a Quad-core, Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 821 that is coupled with Adreno 530 GPU. It has 4 GB RAM with 64 GB internal storage which is expandable via micoSD upto 2TB.

The flagship device LG G6 was launched in early 2017 featuring older Android version Android Nougat. The software performance was largely criticized and we believe it's high time LG roll out the Oreo update to the smartphone.

As mentioned earlier the beta firmware for the LG G6 is available in China and official roll out of Android 8.0 is expected by February. You can check out the features and details of LG G6 using the following link as well.
