Indore: When tension turned into fun at airport on New Year morning

Indore: As many as 600 passengers got an opportunity to turn their anxiety into fun on New Year morning at the city airport when they spent their precious time by painting on the canvas.

It was an ordeal for the travelers on Monday when they came to know that all 6 Delhi-bound flights were delayed due to fog situation in the capital city.

As a good will gesture, the airport administration has made fun activities for passengers by organizing painting and musical programmes. The admn set up 5 painting tables in security hold area for painting purpose. It helped the stranded passengers to spend time in painting. Most passengers were seen engaged in painting on the canvas. Even some families were seen busy in elaborating their expressions on the canvas.

Airport Director Aryama Sanyal said that the painting arrangements were made as a gesture for the passengers to kill time and it also proved beneficial.

6 flights delayed due to fog in Delhi

Dense fog at New Delhi airport spoiled New Year party of passengers as 6 flights bound for various locations got delayed on Monday due to fog. Jet Airways flight JAI-789 Indore-Delhi took off at 01.10 pm from its scheduled departure timing 12.05 pm. Similarly Flight no 140-5409 Indore-Delhi was delayed by 35 minutes and could fly at 5.33 pm. Air Indian’s flight AIC 636 Indore-Mumbai was delayed by 2 hr 8 minutes and fly at 7.08pm against its scheduled departure timing of 5.05pm.

Jet Airways 2823 Indore-Ahmadabad was the most affected one, which got delayed by 5 hours. It could take off at 3.22 pm against the scheduled timing of 10.30am. Indigo’s flight 3904 Indore-Mumbai was delayed by 2.39 hours and departed at 3.39 pm. Jet airways flight 2386 Indore-Mumbai got delayed by 2 hours. The flight could depart at 11.10 pm against scheduled timing of 9.10 pm.
