Delhi: Dense fog continues to hit Delhi on the second succeeding day of 2017. This led to delays and cancellation of several trains and flight services in the capital.

At Least 15 trains were cancelled on Monday, 20 trains time got changed and 56 others get late. Several passengers faced difficulty in traveling at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport. More than 300 flights were retarded and 8 cancelled due to heavy fog.

The India Meteorological Department reported fog situations in North India are expected to affect air and rail services.
More than 90 flights were affected on 31 December 2018 due to heavy fog at the Indira Gandhi International Airport. As per the data, more than 270 flights were retarded, at least 50 rerouted and 35 others were cancelled.

Prior, flight services at the Patna airport were affected as heavy fog hit the aerodrome and visibility reduced below the necessary limit.
