Breaking down the draft
No more speculation. The first 20 picks in the NFL Draft are set.
And the Cleveland Browns are on the clock.
This year's draft figures to be action-packed. Aside from a crop of talented quarterbacks — Sam Darnold, Josh Rosen, Josh Allen — there are a group of top defensive prospects — Arden Key, Minkah Fitzpatrick — too. Considering who's near the top of the draft, there should be a sizable amount of trade movement.
But before any of that, NJ.com sat down to put together our first mock of 2018. Who will the Jets pick? The Giants? Cowboys? A surprise selection for the Browns? Here it is.
Thoughts? Comments? Concerns? Drop a word or two in the comment section.
No. 20 Detroit Lions: Tremaine Edmunds, OLB, Virginia Tech
The Lions could use some help on the offensive line, but a linebacker works here. Edmunds could turn out to be one of the draft's better defensive players.
No. 19 Dallas Cowboys: Vita Vea, DT, Washington
A wideout could be in play here if the Cowboys let Dez Bryant go. They don't have a No. 1 receiver on the roster. I'll go Vea, though. He'll help solidify the defensive line.
