Golden Globes 2018: Why nominees are wearing black in protest on the red carpet

THE GOLDEN GLOBES 2018 nominees and attendees are wearing all black at the awards ceremony this year to protest sexual harassment, a stylist has revealed. This includes the likes of Dwayne Johnson, Tom Hiddleston and Armie Hammer as well as Hollywood’s women.

The Golden Globes 2018 will take place in Los Angeles on January 7, 2018.

The awards, which present accolades to film and television shows and stars, is the 75th incarnation of the ceremony and will be hosted by Seth Meyers.

The night is usually full of glamour with stars opting to wear stunning gowns and dapper suits. However, fashion fans might notice something a little different at this year’s ceremony.

A number of stars have pledged to wear black as a form of protest against sexual harassment.

This came after allegations were made against Harvey Weinstein in October.

Now a number of Hollywood’s men are said to be standing in solidarity with their female counterparts at the yearly awards show.

“At least ALL MY GUYS will be,” stylist Ilaria Urbinanti wrote on Instagram.

Ilaria Urbinati has worked with countless huge names in the film and TV industries, including Margot Robbie, Elle Fanning and Laura Dern.

She has also style Ryan Reynolds, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck in commercial campaigns.
