A 54-year-old man has been hospitalised after a fight broke out in front of Guardamangia church at about 9.30am this morning, the police said.

An argument ensued between three individuals in Triq Santa Maria, and this turned into a fight, which left one needing to be rushed to hospital, according to the police.

A funeral was being held in the church at the time of the incident but the police were not in a position to confirm that the people involved in the brawl were attending.

Police investigations are currently underway.
