2 Shewechchasebak League leaders arrested with yaba in Rajshahi

RAJSHAHI, Jan 1: Two persons including a Shewechchasebak League leader was arrested along with yaba from Durgapur and Charghat upazilas of the district on Saturday night.
The arrestees are: Sajjad Chowdhury Ripon, son of Golam Mostafa and General Secretary of Atrai Upazila Awami League and Bahadur Rahman, son of Jabed Ali of Paikpara in Ullapara Upazila of Sirajganj.
Officer-in-Charge Durgapur Police Station Ruhul Alam said police seized 20 pieces of yaba after searching  Ripon from Shyampur area.
A case was filed against him with the police station under Narcotics Control Act.
Officer-in-Charge of Charghat Model Police Station Nibaran Chandra Barman said police arrested Abdur Rahim from Bottola area and seized 400 pieces of yaba after searching his body.
Sub-Inspector of Model Police Station Utpal Kumar filed a case in this connection. He was sent to jail through a court order.
