Manchester United backed to make much-needed signing this month by Sky Sports pundit
MANCHESTER UNITED need to make a big signing this month to give the club a much-needed lift.

That is according to former Liverpool forward and Sky Sports pundit Neil Mellor.
Manchester United have drawn three of their last four Premier League games and sit 12 points behind runaway leaders Manchester City.
The Red Devils currently sit second in the table after their win over Everton last night, a vast improvement on last season’s sixth-placed finish.
Mellor believes United have improved since Jose Mourinho took over in the summer of 2016.

But he says they need a new signing in the transfer window to rejuvenate the squad.
“Because of the money that’s being spent, I think the expectation of it being Manchester United, one of the top sides around, is to be winning the Premier League,” Mellor said.
“The realistic thing is that they’ve made progression under Jose Mourinho.
“They’re sat there third, they’re on a little bit of a poor run.

“Look at the six teams that are competing in there, you’d say Arsenal are certainly a bit below it.
“Last season they were way off it and this season they’re in a better position.
“They’re having a bit of a poor run but I expect them to improve.
“I think they need a lift, I think they need a lift. I think a signing is what they need.”
