YouTube star slammed for posting vile video of a man who ‘hung himself in suicide forest’

YOUTUBE star Logan Paul has been forced to apologise after he was criticised for posting disgusting footage that appeared to show a person after he hung himself from a tree.

Posting the 15-minute clip on Sunday, Logan can be seen walking through a forest at the base of Japan’s Mount Fuji.

Alongside a group of friends, Logan walks through trees and shrubbery in the leafy surroundings dubbed the “suicide forest” by locals.

Addressing the camera, he asks: “Did we just find a dead person in the suicide forest hanging?”

The sickening clip then cuts to the man’s body as Logan zooms in with his camera.

He shouts: “Yo, are you alive? Are you f***ing with us?”

The footage has sparked mass outrage after it was posted online.

Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul called Logan “pure trash” before telling him to “go rot in hell”.

And Game of Thrones actor Sophie Turner described Logan as an “idiot” who “doesn’t deserve the success he has”.

Logan has since removed the footage from his YouTube channel and issued a public apology.

He wrote: “I’m so sorry about this. This was supposed to be a fun vlog.

“Depression and mental illnesses are not a joke.

“I did it because I thought I could make a positive ripple on the internet, not cause a monsoon of negativity.”

He then claimed the purpose of the trip to the forest was to focus on the “haunted aspect” of it.

Logan, 22, has clocked up over 20 million views on some of his daily vlogs and is worth a reported $14million (£10million).
