Viva Bahrain expects to complete Menatelecom acquisition in early January

Viva Bahrain said it has entered a definitive agreement with Kuwait Finance House - Bahrain (KFH-Bahrain) to acquire 100 percent of rival internet service provider Menatelecom. The parties intend to complete the transaction in early January.

The acquisition will allow Viva to enhance technical capabilities and foster product and service innovation. KFH-Bahrain and Viva thanked the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of the Kingdom of Bahrain for its continued support in achieving the transaction.

Viva said the acquisition reiterates its commitment in investing in Bahrain’s economy and contributing to the country’s social progress.
