Bajaj Auto trades higher post December sales figures

Bajaj Auto reported 13 per cent rise in motorcycle sales at 2,28,762 units in December 2017 over December 2016.
Shares of Bajaj Auto were trading higher in morning trade on Tuesday after the company posted 30 per cent year-on-year rise in total sales at 2,92,547 units in December 2017 as against 2,25,529 units in the same month last year.
Total sales include domestic sales of 149,509 units and exports of 143,038 units, registering growth of 25 per cent and 35 per cent, respectively, over December 2016.
Bajaj Auto reported 13 per cent rise in motorcycle sales at 2,28,762 units in December 2017 over December 2016. Commercial vehicles sales increased to the highest ever at 63,785 units in December 2017, recording growth of 187 per cent over December 2016.
The scrip was trading 0.37 per cent up at Rs 3,305.50 at around 10.20 am (IST). Shares of the company opened at Rs 3,314.85 and touched a high and low of Rs 3,344.50 and Rs 3,285.25, respectively, in trade so far. Benchmark BSE Sensex was down 32 points, or 0.09 per cent, at 33,780.96 at around the same time.
On the BSE, 9,210 shares were traded in the counter so far, compared with average daily volumes of 2.35 lakh shares in the past two weeks.
The stock had hit a 52-week high of Rs 3,381 on December 26, 2017 and 52-week low of Rs 2,556 on January 2, 2017.
