Another year, another January that opens with the New England Patriots as Super Bowl favorites.

Each year, the story is similar—but with a few different wrinkles. Here’s why the 2017 New England Patriots will win yet another Super Bowl.

Tom Brady

You can tell me that Brady wasn’t himself in December and has been hit more this year than in many others. I’ll still take the best quarterback of all-time in every game he plays this postseason.

Bill Belichick

The mastermind. When every other team and coaching staff (like, say, Pittsburgh, Seattle and Atlanta in recent years) struggle in tight situations, the Patriots and Belichick never lose their cool.

Crazy tailgating stunt

Matt Patricia

Few give the Patriots defensive coordinator credit he deserves because of Belichick’s presence, but that overlooks the job done this year. After a difficult start to the season, the Patriots have been one of the best defensive teams in the sport.
