Labourer hacked to death over minor issue

Rajkot: A labourer was hacked to death by a fellow labourer at an orchard in Khetaradi village of Halvad taluka in Morbi district over a trivial issue on Sunday night.

Police said Dashrath Rathwa, a resident of Bodeli of Vadodara district, hacked fellow labourer Anil Rathwa to death at the orchard owned by Savji Bharwad (45) in Khetaradi village.


"Our preliminary investigation has revealed that both Dashrath and Anil fought over the issue of cutting puppies' nails in the orchard.


After killing Anil, Dashrath fled from the spot. We have registered the case and launched a manhunt for Dashrath," said an investigating official.
