Ujjain: Bhopal Yellow team wins lawyers’ cricket tourney

Ujjain: The final of state-level lawyers’ 20-20 cricket competition organised by District Bar Association was played between Bhopal Red and Bhopal Yellow at Government Madhav College Ground on Sunday. Bhopal Yellow won the match.

Bhopal Yellow batted first and made 238 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. In this Firdaus Khan made 102 runs. Bhopal red team could make onlt 191 runs in 20 over and lost 8 wickets in the process.  From Red team, Manish Shukla made 52 runs while Shrey Saxena was unbeaten on 69 runs. Firdaus Khan of Bhopal yellow was the man of the match. Manish Shukla of Bhopal red was the man of the series.

According to Association secretary Om Sarvan, chief guests for the final match were Sant Umeshnath Maharaj and City Qazi Khaliqurrhaman. Bar Association Pramod Chaubey president presided over the programme. In the concluding ceremony, energy minister Paras Jain, DIG Raman Singh Sikarwar, Zila Panchayat president Mahesh Parmar, SP Sachin Atulkar and Pradesh Congress Committee secretary Chetan Yadav were present as guests.
