Let us first accept that 2017 was not a great year for the Bollywood fanatics! We were promised with some of the biggest possible hits of the year and the promises were not delivered. There were huge expectations on the movies like Shah Rukh Khan’s Jab Harry Met Sejal or Salman Khan’s Tubelight or Deepika Padukone’s Padmavati. While the former two failed to impress, the latter one did not release at all!

Fortunately, we had some good movies like Hindi Medium, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Newton, Qarib Qarib Singlle and a few more to help us sail through the mess. But 2018 will be different! The stars like Anushka Sharma, Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Kangana Ranaut are just ready to enthral us with new amazing (and hopefully less disappointing) plotlines. Let us have a look:

Padman: Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte, Sonam Kapoor join hands to preach one of the boldest topics ever- the menstrual hygiene in rural India. The trailer is promising and the film will hit the screens on January 26.
Pari: Anushka Sharma is back with a new avatar. Her haunted and helpless look in the stills of the films is making us curious for the story behind it.

Padmavati: After the film got pushed in 2018, it is definitely the most anticipated film of the year. The controversies around it has made the audience even more curious about the magnum opus. The release date is still unconfirmed.

Race 3: Salman Khan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Anil Kapoor are all set to take the popular Race franchise forward with Remo D’souza as the director. The film promises extra action and drama than the previous ones. This flick also promises us a new grey shade played by Salman Khan for the first time.

Fanne Khan: Just like its name, the cast is also interesting with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao on board. The film revolves around an aspiring singer and the life related to it. The film is slated to release on June 15.

Thugs of Hindostan: After the super success of Dangal and Secret Superstar, Aamir Khan is back with a mega film. The cast is quite star studded namely Fatima Sana Shaikh, Katrina Kaif, Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. The film is slated to release on November 7.

Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dwarf’ film: The untitled film directed by Aanand L Rai stars SRK, Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the lead. It also has cameos of several stars like Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Alia Bhatt, Sridevi, Deepika Padukone. SRK will play a vertically challenged person in this film and will release on December 21.

Dhadak: Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar’s Dhadak is the remake of Marathi blockbuster Sairat. The stills of the film are quite interesting and the debut film of both the stars is something that can be looked forward to.

Raazi: Alia Bhatt- Vicky Kaushal starrer film, helmed by Meghna Gulzar is one tale that we should be really interested in! The plot revolves around a Pakistani army officer and his wife who is a Kashmiri spy. The film is based on the book by Harinder Sikka’s Calling Sehmat.

Dutt Biopic: After the stills of Ranbir Kapoor’s transformation came out, this is that one film that everyone has been waiting for desperately! Who knew that the lean handsome actor could pull off Sanjay Dutt so accurately?

Super 30: After a long long time, Hrithik Roshan will be back on the big screen with much ambitious film, Super 30. The film is based on Mathematician Anand Kumar and his ways. This will be surely one treat to all the fans of the Greek god of Bollywood!
