Men's basketball

Fitchburg State 80, Thomas (Me.) 78: Josh Bosworth netted 15 points, including a pair of free throws with 3 seconds left, the first of which proved to be the winner as the Falcons (4-7) topped the Terriers (5-5) in the consolation game of the Naismith Classic in Springfield. Anthony Allen had a game-high 18 points off the bench to lead the Falcons and Jonathan Perez added seven points and seven rebounds.

Women's basketball

Assumption 56, Molloy (N.Y.) 50: Junior Morgan O'Donnell had 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists, and sophomore Brianna Capacchione recorded a career-high 15 points to power the visiting Greyhounds (3-8) past the Lions (6-7) in Rockville, New York.

WPI 68, Ramapo (N.J.) 45: Madison Beck had a game-high 15 points, Ama Biney registered 13 points and 11 rebounds, and senior Stasha Greenalch doled out 12 assists to pace the Engineers (8-3) to the consolation win at the Westfield State Tournament.
