All eyes are now set at poll bound Karnataka which is crucial for both the ruling Congress and the major opposition BJP. A day’s visit of BJP National President Amit Shah to Bengaluru on Sunday indicates the significance of Karnataka which is seen as once again gateway to saffron party’s surge to the south.
Amit Shah who held crucial talks with the party cadres and State leaders in a closed door discussion has shifted the war room to Karnataka to work out strategies to counter Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his appeasement politics to the hilt. Amit Shah wants to work out UP and Gujarat model of strategy to counter the Congress and also to stop Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his new found Hindutva politics in Karnataka.
Briefing the media after the meeting Union Minister HN Ananth Kumar said party president Amit Shah was immensely happy about the parivarthana yatra and its success taken out by Yeddyurappa which shows unity in the party to counter Siddaramaiah and his Government Yatra. Yeddyurappa has toured 145 Assembly constituencies so far and this shows people are with us, he said .
Ananth Kumar said Party president has given a call to prepare a charge sheet in all the 224 Assembly constituencies with in January 16 against the Congress. He also said in seven days BJP will have janajagruthi abhiyana and meet all the voters. “In the last week of February in all the constituencies we are appointing page pramukhs to meet the voters in all the 224 constituencies”.
A party source indicated Amit Shah was very keen in implementing Gujarat and UP model and also attract Dalits, OBCs and other small communities to counter the congress. He also gave a call to highlight the corruption against Siddaramaiah, the source added. He asked the party cadre to bring out the issue of farmers death during Congress regime.
According to Ananth Kumar Amit Shah has called Siddaramaiah Government as anti Hindu and this must be highlighted. According to Ananth Kumar Amit Shah has said BJP has won 19 States since 2014 and confident of winning Karnataka with new political strategies.
Meanwhile Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said Amit Shah’s magic won’t work in Karnataka.
