500,000 eligible to cast postal votes 
The Additional Elections Commissioner Saman Rathnayaka says that 500,000 government servants are eligible to cast postal votes for the upcoming Local Government election.
He further stated that applications are still being processed.
The ballot papers to cast postal votes will be handed over to the Sri Lanka Postal Department on the 11th of January, to be distributed.
