The Sycamore wrestling team was two matches away from a sweep at a home quad Saturday but lost both in a 41-36 defeat to Rockford East.

The Spartans beat Morton, 57-16, and Moline, 58-18, on the day, with four wrestlers going undefeated and three wrestlers picking up three wins on the mat.

Chad Schap, Colton Berg and Matthew Hunter each had three pins on the day. Zak Kozumplik was 3-0 with a pin and a forfeit.

Seth Misukanis scored 26, and Tate Sanderson added 14.
