MANIKGANJ: The ferry services on the Paturia-Daulatdia route remained suspended for hours due to thick fog on the route.
The ferry services were suspended from 6:30 am on Monday (January 01).
Assistant general manager of Daulatdia ferry ghat Nasir Hossain said that they shut down the movement of all the ferries to avoid untoward accident due to the dense fog.
Eleven ferries were stranded in the mid river on the Paturia-Daulatdia route. Hundreds of vehicles were seen waiting in queues on both sides of the route.
