Bourses open year with mixed trend

Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) started early trading of the first week of new year with mixed trend on Monday as investors were cautious.

In Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), turnover, an important indicator of the market, stood at Tk 165.88 crore when the report was filed.

The DSEX in the country's main bourse stood at 6,252 points increasing 7 points.

The DSE Shariah Index (DSES) reached at 1,389 points decreased 1 point.

The DS30 index also decreasing 3 points to stand 2,279 points.

Of the issues traded today, 193 advanced, 84 declined and 35 remained unchanged.

In Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE), turnover stood at Tk 8.84 crore. 

Selective Category Index - CSCX - rose 69 points to stand at around 19,337 points.

Of the issues traded, 105 gained, 40 declined and 16 remained unchanged.
