The three-day conference will open on December 5, 2017 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. Over 100 experts from the Indian and global solar energy industries and policymakers will share their insights at the event. With over 500 delegates expected to participate, this year's exhibition will also have US and German pavilions besides an exclusive pavilion for electrical energy storage. Approximately 260 domestic and foreign exhibitors will showcase their latest products and solutions to over 12,000 national and international visitors.
Conference highlights
The conference will have standalone sessions organised in partnership with reputed institutions. For instance, The Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS) will organise a session on Floating Solar and PV Quality, the German Development Co-operation (giz) will organise a session on Residential Rooftop Systems - Design and Quality, the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) will conduct the manufacturing session while the Alliance for Rural Energy (ARE) will hold a session on off-grid. The conference will also include a session on one of the South Asian markets with this year's focus being on Afghanistan.
Exhibition highlights
This year's conference will also hold various special exhibitions on storage technologies, electric mobility solutions and innovative energy supply as well as special activities like a buyer-seller forum, technical workshops and a round table on financing solar projects in India for US companies. The networking reception 'Solar Power Developers Night' arranged at the end of the first day's proceedings will provide an excellent opportunity to top executives to renew old ties and establish new contacts.
The event's exhibition and conference both focus on photovoltaics, PV production technologies, energy storage systems and solar thermal technologies. Since being founded, Intersolar has become the most important industry platform for manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, service providers and partners in the global solar industry.
