BOGRA: At least four people were killed and 23 others injured as a passenger bus and covered van collided in Shajahanpur upazila of Bogra on Monday afternoon (January 01).
The identities of the deceased could not be known yet. The injured were taken to Bogra Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.
Witnesses said the accident took place as the covered van (Dhaka Metro-Ta-15-1495) and a passenger bus (Bogra-B-4666) collided head on at Noy Mile Fultola area on Dhaka-Bogra Highway around 3:00 pm.
Ashutosh, Sub-Inspector of Bogra’s Chilimpur town police outpost, confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
The head-on collision left the bus in complete wreckage and created huge traffic congestion on both sides of the highway, the SI said.
