Haryana Government has constituted a District Level Monitoring Committee (DLMC) for effective supervision and monitoring of the Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana (BBY) implementation.
Principal Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Dr Abhilaksh Likhi on Sunday said that the main objective of recently launched scheme in Karnal, is to mitigate the risk of farmer producers in the state by incentivizing them during low prices in the market of perishable commodities like fruit and vegetables.
He said that the committee would be headed by Deputy Commissioner as Chairman, while, District Marketing Enforcement Officer, Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board would act as its Member Secretary and Deputy Director Agriculture, District Manager, NABARD,District Horticulture Officer and District Revenue Officer would be its Members.
The DLMC is also mandated to review the scheme and its operation from time to time and give suggestions for its effective implementation in the future, he added.
