Monday's transfer talk

  • Real Madrid want Chelsea's Eden Hazard in a £120m deal
  • Manchester United are looking at Inter Milan's Joao Mario to replace Henrikh Mkhitaryan
  • Theo Walcott could be leaving Arsenal for a return to former club Southampton

Manchester United were yesterday being again linked with a move for former winger Cristiano Ronaldo and today they are being linked with Joao Mario as a replacement for Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Liverpool have officially confirmed Virgil van Dijk as a player but there could be one leaving after Nike accidentally confirmed Philippe Coutinho as a Barcelona player on Sunday.

Manchester City appear to have entered the race to sign Liverpool midfielder Emre Can along with Bayern Munich, but Juventus remain the favourites to land the Germany midfielder – whose contract expires at the end of the season. Another free agent in the summer, Alexis Sanchez, looks set to stay at Arsenal despite claims that Arsene Wenger wants to sell him to Paris Saint-Germain in January.
