BLOTTER: Green tongue tips off deputy

CRESTVIEW – A woman who was a passenger in a car pulled over for a traffic stop was arrested after the deputy noticed her tongue was green.

A K9 unit had already alerted to the presence of drugs in the car

When they examined the 39-year-old Fort Walton Beach woman’s mouth, they found marijuana.

After being read her rights, the woman said that when the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputy turned on his flashing lights to pull them over, another passenger told her there was a joint in the console and she had to “eat it or get rid of it.” She swallowed it, she told deputies.

She was charged with tampering with evidence.
