Book festival inaugurated

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid inaugurated the 'National Textbook Festival 2018' at Azimpur Government Girls School and College in Dhaka on Monday morning.

Thousands of students from capital's different educational institutions with new books and colourful dress joined the festival.

Senior officials concerned to the Ministry of Education were present in the inaugural ceremony.

Earlier on December 30, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina formally opened the distribution of free textbooks among students up to the secondary level.
