As 2018 begins many of us will be on the hint for the latest fashion trend to hit the high streets.
With the new year comes plenty of bonkers new fashion – and these vagina-inspired designs are no exception.
In September, Namilia unveiled their bizarre collection, which took inspiration from the intimate female body part.

Items in the range included jackets, decorative patches, shoes and vulva-adorned patchwork.
Apparently, it took inspiration by Denis Diderot’s novel, The Indiscreet Jewels.
The book tells the story about a sultan who suspects his mistress is cheating on him, which is probably why the collection has such a sexual feel to it.

During New York Fashion Week last year, onlookers weren’t convinced that the craze would catch on.
One spectator joked that it would only work: “for those days you feel like wearing your vagina on your sleeve… and everywhere else.”
Another added: “I don’t know how the models kept a straight face.”
Many believed that while the clothes worked on the catwalk, that they wouldn’t fare as well in public.

However, these critics may just have been proven wrong.
Since Namilia’s models walked the runway, plenty of vagina-themed products are being flogged by retailers.
Earrings, bags and necklaces are among the items that are being sold in their hundreds online. And fashion fanatics believe vagina trends could be huge this year.
We recently revealed that vulva slippers have proven popular this Christmas.
The knitted footwear, which has racked up five-star reviews since launching, retails for £20 on Etsy.
