The Yankees are stacked with young talent. Here's who's coming next season.
Luis Severino

RHP Luis Severino
Age: 23
Why: We’ll start with the biggest no-brainer on the list. Severino came into his own last season, going 14-6 with a 2.98 ERA. He finished third in the American League Cy Young vote. The Yankees will count on him to front their rotation as they push for their first World Series since 2009.
Gleyber Torres

INF Gleyber Torres
Age: 21
Why: If the Yankees don’t make Torres their starting second baseman come Opening Day, there’s a solid chance he’ll end up there as the full-timer well before the All-Star break. The team’s best prospect and the third best in the game per Baseball America, Torres very advanced at the plate, recognizing pitches well, displaying patience and using the entire field. His power projections seem to increase each year as he adds strength and experience, and he now looks like he'll deliver 20-plus homers on an annual basis in his prime,” according to MLB.com.
Clint Frazier

LF Clint Frazier
Age: 23
Why: Frazier and Torres may be the team’s best and most advanced bats. Though there’s not room for Frazier in the stacked Yankees outfield, he could fill in if someone gets hurt, the way he did when Aaron Hicks went down last season. But Frazier’s greatest value to the Yankees could come as a piece of a trade. Reports have placed him at the center of a potential deal that would land starting pitcher Gerrit Cole from the Pirates.
Tyler Wade

UTL Tyler Wade
Age: 23
Why: Wade may go into spring training with a shot to be on the big-league roster. The Yankees don’t have a third baseman or a second baseman and he’s experienced at the latter position. He could also see time in a utility role. The Yankees have been grooming him to be a Ben Zobrist-type.
