NFL: Los Angeles Chargers at New York Jets

Tough road ahead
The Jets are bringing coach Todd Bowles and general manager Mike Maccagnan back for a fourth season, announcing two-year contract extensions for both this week.
But that doesn't erase the fact the Jets have finished each of the last two years 5-11, nor their ongoing seven-year playoff drought. Essentially, if Maccagnan and Bowles want to make it to Year 5, they'll have to make a significant jump in 2018.
The Jets had a brutal schedule in 2016. They played a slew of top-tier quarterbacks this year. What awaits for them next season, though? Here's a look at their 2018 opponents.
New England Patriots (division, home and away)
The defending Super Bowl champs ... again? The Patriots seem primed for another run. The Jets last home victory against New England came in a Week 16 matchup in 2015. At the time, it kept their playoff hopes alive.
