Lionel Messi: Barcelona star upset with latest transfer setback
LIONEL MESSI is said to be upset that Barcelona have failed to sign Leon Goretzka with reports suggesting the midfielder has agreed to join Bayern Munich.
Goretzka is one of the most sought after midfielders in European football with his contract at Schalke running out at the end of the season.
Liverpool were thought to be the frontrunners to sign Goretzka while Barcelona have also expressed an interest.
But reports in Spain have suggested the race for his signature is over with Bayern Munich agreeing to take him to the Allianz Arena.
It is said the Bundesliga giants will sign the midfielder for free on June 30.

That’s according to Spanish outlet Don Balon, who claim the Argentina international had earmarked Goretzka as a potential alternative should the club fail to sign Philippe Coutinho.
Barcelona are still expected to be busy in January with rumours refusing to go away about their intentions to sign Coutinho.

It has been suggested the La Liga giants would need to sell a handful of players to help balance the books and fund a bid for the Liverpool star.
Paulinho became the latest Barcelona star to add to the speculation by joking they have already started house hunting for Coutinho.
Antoine Griezmann also remains linked with a move to the Nou Camp but Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone wants to see his striker build a partnership with Diego Costa.
