A York hotel has celebrated the New Year and a successful renovation together.
The Grange Hotel on Clifton opened a new residents’ bar in its Morning Room as 2017 drew to a close.
The hotel had spent the last three years carrying out a series of transformations.
They began by transforming a function room and one of its restaurants into five new bedrooms.
But when, as a result, it had to move the bar on the ground floor to its brassiere on an upper floor, residents told staff they still wanted a bar on the ground floor.
So the hotel added the new residents’ bar to the changes.
The hotel says it carried out the changes to meet high demands for bedrooms sparked by increased tourist visits to York.
