Ujjain: Kala Sangam under Shaiv Mahotsav-2018 begins today

Ujjain: A congregation of twelve Jyotirlingas is being organised by Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee (MTMC) under Shaiv Mahotsav-2018 from January 5 to 7. A 60-feet high flag in front of police chowki near Mahakaleshwar temple’s main gate will be worshipped on Monday at 10 am under the leadership of Pradeep Pujari.

After flag worship, inauguration of Kala Sangam and felicitation of senior artists will be done at Mahakal Pravachan hall at 10.30 am. The Sankalp of Maharudra for public welfare will be taken at Abhishek point near Nandi Hall in Mahakaleshwar temple at 11.15 am on Monday.

In-charge administrator and additional collector Awadhesh Sharma said that on inauguration of Kala Sangam in Mahakal Pravachan Hall on Monday, Swami Ranganathacharya, Swami Asanganand, Swami Anand Jevandas, Swami Umeshnath, Swami Awadheshpuri, Swami Anulanand Shekhar and Swami Ganga Bharti will be present. Senior artists LN Bhawsar and Srikrishna Joshi will be honoured by guests. The programme coordinator will be RP Sharma. Rajiv Pahwa and Piyush Tripathi will be coordinator of Shaiv Kala Sangam inauguration.

Energy minister inspects

Shaiv Mahostav venues; gives necessary directions to officers

Amid preparations for Shaiv Mahotsav, energy minister Paras Jain, collector and MTMC chairman Sanket Bhondve on Sunday evening reviewed the fest venue along with members and administrative officials of MTMC. The inspection was conducted at Balmukunda Ashram Jhalaria Math, Ganga Garden Narsinh Ghat Chauraha, Swami Santdas Udasin Ashram and exhibition site on Narsinh Ghat Road. Instructions were also given to authorities for arrangements. In order to avoid traffic at programme sites, collector ordered Awadhesh Sharma to operate more than 10 e-rickshaws between parking lot and programme site for guests.
