Steven “Steve” Darrell Moore, 49, of Glenwood, died Dec. 18 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Ann Arbor, Mich., he owned Steve’s Yard Service. Celebration of life at a later date. Survived by siblings, Eugene (Carol Schroen) Moore, Charlotte Russell and Charles Moore; a niece, nephew and grandnephew. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
Ernesto De Vera Tuliao, 79, of Hilo died Dec. 20 in Bacnotan, La Union, Philippines. Born in Barangay Tuliao, Santa Barbara Pangasinan, Philippines, he was a retired cane truck driver for the former Hamakua Sugar Co., worked for Suisan Fish Market and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Visitation 9-11 a.m. Monday (Jan. 8) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Prayer service at 11 a.m. Burial 1:30 p.m. at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Survived by wife, Genevie Tuliao of Hilo; daughter, Edna Tuliao-Olim of Las Vegas; son, Edgar (Wendi) Tuliao of Hilo; brother in-law, Bernard (Fely) Mones of Hilo; sister in-law, Candida Sabado of Portland, Ore.; two grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews.
