CHITTAGONG: Three CNG-driven autoricksahw passengers were killed in separate accidents in Chandgaon and EPZ areas of Chittagong Saturday night (December 30).
The deceased were identified as Md Sharif, 30, son of Sahab Uddin from Halishahar thana, Omar Faruq Bihan, 25, son of Syed Ahmad from Patiya upazila and Md Rafique, 50, son of Nur Mohammad from Patenga thana.
Chittagong District Police Medical Team-1 Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Md Alauddin Talukder told Banglanews that a good-ladden truck hit an autorickshaw near Bohoddarhat Flyover, leaving Sharif and Omar critically injured, at the night.
The duo were taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where the on-duty physician declared them dead.
Another truck rammed an autoricksahw in EPZ thana area, leaving Rafiq injured. He was rushed to CMCH and pronounced dead by the physician.
