It would have been a great way to start 2018!

It's time to check your tickets for the Powerball drawing from Saturday night, Dec. 30, otherwise known as the "New Year's Eve (eve)" drawing.

The jackpot was initially estimated at $384 million (or a $242.9 million cash value), the fourth time this year the prize value hit the $300 million mark. The actual estimate of the grand prize Saturday night ballooned to $390.1 million.

The winning numbers drawn Saturday night:

28-36-41-51-58 with a Powerball of 24

(and a Powerplay option of 2x).

No one matched all six numbers, sending the next Powerball drawing, on Wednesday night, to a whopping $440 million to start the new year.

No one matched the first five white balls, either, that would have been worth $1 million.

The $440 million prize ranks ninth all-time in Powerball jackpots.

The odds of claiming the grand prize (matching all five white balls, between 1 and 69, and the red Powerball, between 1 and 26, are 1 in 292,201,338.00.
